My life is a constant balance of understanding that I can’t control everything. I can’t control what people are going to think about me, and I can’t control what they are going to write about me - but I can control my actions and how I live my life.

Dancing’s good for your skin. Who knew!?
Good tunes, Good vibes
We can’t all be the next Queen Bey, so embrace those left field dance moves. After all (believe it or not) having fun, jumping about with your mates and generally doing things that put you in a good mood is good for your skin in the long run. Why? Because it gets your heart pumping and blood rushing to the surface of your skin and to all those ‘jazz hands’ fingertips - which can give skin that special glow. Good vibes, good times, great skin.

The city’s got lots of things going for it hasn’t it? The buzz, the shops, the fit guy that works in that café – yet being in the city might not be as much fun for skin! A typical day in the city can present all sorts of challenges for skin, which can affect how it looks and cause sensitivity. Your skin comes into contact with dirt from exhaust fumes, dust and smoke. Add to that the changeable weather and air con and it’s little wonder you may experience issues like dry skin, oily skin and blemishes all leading to more sensitive-feeling skin.
That’s why it’s good to show your skin some extra kindness this summer. Simple® Moisturising Facial Wash contains no harsh chemicals, artificial perfume or colour – just gentle skin-loving ingredients that cleanse your face without drying your skin out and helping to get rid it of all that city grime.
And for that extra bit of love to your skin, protect it from the environment by keeping it well moisturised. Use the Kind to Skin Protecting Light Moisturiser with SPF 15 to help keep skin smooth, hydrated, and protected from the sun.

We can’t change them – but we can try and manage how our skin reacts to them.
Hormones playing up? Don’t let them mess with your skin
Ah, hormones. Everyone’s got them. When your skin is feeling sensitive, and this might be dry skin, oily skin, even spots, it might be because of your hormones. Just like every other part of your body, hormones will reach your skin. When your hormones are a bit all over the place though, it can make your skin react, which isn’t great.
We can’t change them – but we can try and manage how our skin reacts to them. Here’s some top tips just for you.
Cleansing and moisturisation. Get into a habit of cleansing and moisturising daily, to keep your skin in great condition. That way when those hormones are on your case, you’re prepared!
Choose kind products to cleanse & moisturise with daily. Avoid products with artificial perfumes, colours or harsh chemicals in them. These can be triggers for sensitive skin and using gentler products that are kind to skin can be a big benefit.
Balance out your day with a healthy lifestyle. Foods rich with vitamin A and Vitamin C can repair skin, which is what you need when your hormones are wreaking havoc. Dark green vegetables are high in Vitmain A, and citrus fruits are rich in Vitamin C.
Stress less! Easier said than done, but even just a good night’s sleep can make the difference in your stress levels and the way your hormones act. Exercise is also really good for dealing with stress, so if you aren’t already go for a bike ride, a run, or just a good ol’ dance in front of the mirror.
